If you have enjoyed studying Geography at IGCSE and you've been doing well at it you should seriously consider taking Geography at Post 16.

Geography provides an outstanding skill-set for university entry and at the post 16 level, acts often as a bridging subject between the humanities and sciences. It's combination of physcial, human and environmental education alongside an active fieldwork program equip students with a skill-set suitable for a changing economy. We believe students with experience in Geography and environmental awareness will be amongst the most employable graduates over the next 30 years. Geography at post 16 deals with real-world economic and political issues, rather than abstract or narrow theoretical issues. Geography develops a broad knowledge of socio-economic and political challenges through an awareness of place, its changes and how humans interact with place.

The following resources and videos highlight some of the reason for studying Geography at post 16 level. As one of the physical sciences and according to HESA, 90% of Geography graduates found emplyment 6 months after graduation in 2012. This puts Geography in the top 10 subject groups for employability, equal with mathematics. Geography is classified as one of the 'facilitating' subjects for post 16 education by the Russell group of universities. The Russell Group recommend that students study at least two facilitating subjects. and avoid taking more than one subject considered non facilitating. Faciliatating subjects include:
